There are many people in Brookings and the surrounding areas that do not have a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ. Our primary approach to sharing Christ is through personal evangelism. We want to equip and inspire one another to share Jesus with our Brookings community. Here are some ways that we try to do that:
Giveaway materials - in our church lobby, you will find a variety of resources that you can give to people who are asking questions about God. You will find a variety of giveaway Bibles and information booklets that might appeal to different types of people. All of these are free, so take what you can use!Classes on how to share your faith - from time to time, we offer various classes that can help give people the skills and confidence they need to share their faith.Targeted prayer - perhaps the most important component to sharing Jesus with our community is prayer. In the hallway off the lobby you will find our Evangelism map. Each month we select a different section of our community, and we pray that God will open the eyes and hearts of the people so they would believe.Church services - a key way to share our faith is to invite friends and colleagues to church, where they will hear about God and hopefully experience His presence. From time to time we conduct special outreach services, especially around Easter and Christmas.LifeGroups - another great way to share your faith is to invite people to a LifeGroup meeting. There they will see people praying for one another, and applying the Scriptures to their lives.Christianity Explored - several times per year, we hold a 7 session outreach group called Christianity Explored. This is a great group to invite your seeking friends to attend with you as we explore the identity and mission of Jesus.International Ministry - every Friday night we serve a meal to international students and offer classes that can help them find out more about Christianity.MOPS Outreach - our Mother's of Preschoolers ministry attracts many different women from around the community. Some of these women are uncertain about their relationship with God. We do our best to reach out to these women with the Gospel through personal mentoring relationships and our Christianity Explored studies. Also, be sure to check out the Resources section of this website for some more helpful tools.
